Over the past few weeks i've been spending as usual and here are some of the bits i've bought all combined into one post.
I bought a very cute bow necklance from River Island that has pastel coloured gems on. River Island is fast becoming one of my favourite places for accessories.
I went into M&S for a chocolate fix and was pleased to find they have a new selection of Hello Kitty chocolate including this very cute tin filled with choc hearts :)
I aslo picked up another of the Estee Lauder lipsticks from the Micheal Korrs Hollywood collection. This one is Hollywood gold. If i was rich i'd buy the whole collection- all of it's beautiful.
I made a small ASOS order- i picked up another of the Daintly Doll eyeshadows. This one is Honey Bronze. The shadows are really smooth, and the colour is a warmer version of Satin Taupe by Mac. I also got a cute Vegas charm necklace which was a bargain at £1.75 in the sale.
And at the weekend i popped into Superdrug. Gosh was on 3 for 2 and they had the new Summer collection in stock. I picked up this eyeshadow palette in Bohemian Gypsy, and a Tropical eye pencil in Violet Queen which has a lovely two tone effect. My favourite of the bunch is the Jumbo Lip Gloss Pencil. They had them in 3 shades, which were all very nice but i opted for Flamenco Coral. I have a feeling i'll be going back for the other 2 though...
Also in Superdrugs skincare is 3 for 2. I took the oportunity to stock up on some Simple products as i seem to be using a lot of their stuff lately. I decided to try the Oil Balancing Moisturiser for the daytime-i though this would be good for the warmer weather. As well as that i chose a Soothing Eye Balm, as i'm obsessed with finding things to help my dreaded dark circles. And lastly an Anti Wrinkle night cream- as i need a new night cream, and i fear wrinkles are aproaching (i can already see one on my forehead...eeek!)
I plan on doing some reviews on some of these things soon-particularly the Gosh bits, but if anyone has any requests they are always welcome. (^_^)
Hello Again! As mentioned in an earlier post i visited London a couple of weeks ago. Here are some of the things i bought whilst there...
One of my favourite shops is in Covent Garden where they sell the most beautiful and unusual decorative things. I bought these 2 super cute felt garlands and the below rose garland. I think i'm going to use these to spruce up my bedroom.
I also bought some picture postcards to add to my collection, i especially love old advertising postcards.
Along with my i love London lighter i picked up in a souvenir shop i also picked up this adorable Hello Kitty trinket bowl at Harrods.
One of my favourite things i got was this Hello Kitty wicker bag from Harrods- this will be perfect in the Summer :)
Also in Harrods i stocked up on some cute Hello Kitty stickers, and the below earrings and necklace set.
Here are the products i've found myself using a lot lately:
Simple facial toner and hydrating moisturiser. I have really sensitive skin so this works well for me, although the moisturiser is a little disappointing.
Loreal Telescopic mascara. This was an impulse buy-i realised i'd never bought anything by Loreal before. It makes my lashes huge but is really drying.
Boots 17 Lasting fix nail polish in Orange Soda. Such a pretty creamy orange colour.
Barry M Shimmering eye & lip crayon 7. Perfect as a base, i also like wearing this on it's own with some mascara.
Avon Glazewear lipstick in choc sequins. I've never been one for brown lippie, but i love this one- and its nice and glossy.
Vasaline. I've had an attack of dry lips so have been using this religiously.
Boots 17 eyeshadow in Statuesque. I'm so impressed with this! Lovely and creamy, and a beautiful daytime colour.
Maybelline Loose mineral powder foundation. I'm not an everyday foundation wearer, but this is great coverage without feeling heavy on the skin.
And on another note i watched 'Worried About the Boy' last night on BBC2. It was a brilliant drama about Boy George, and the make up in it was amazing!
Last week i had some time booked off work and decided to take a trip back down to London to visit my family. Unfortunately i don't get to go back there half as much as i'd like to :( so i decided to visit all my favourite places...
One of favourite parts of central London is China town. They have amazing shops there.
I also love walking round Harrods- especially the Hello Kitty section on the childrens floor.
If you are a Hello Kitty fan then this is heaven!
I think the toy floor at Harrods is probably my favourite floor :)
I also love walking round the streets, there's always something interesting to see. I love this fountain in Piccadilly:
I also love all the cheesy London souvenier shops-and i always stop in these to add to my postcard, and ashtray collection! I will add another post of all the lovely bits i bought soon.
I also went to a vintage amusement arcade where they had a slightly creepy laughing sailor:
