New Things...

On Tuesday as i had the day of work i decided i would be the most organised i've ever been and get all my Christmas presents so i could sit back while everyone else is rushing about in December. Of course i didn't realise it was half term and that everywhere would be madly busy...

Despite that i'm pleased to say the bulk of my Christmas shopping is done. Along the way i made a few selfish purchases as well...

I popped into Superdrug to get one of the new Sleek palettes called Good Girl. This one is a limited edition and ignoring the awfully tacky box is a lovely array of pinks and reds. A colour i lack in my eyeshadow collection. The other palette called Bad Girl is a perminant edition, but to me seemed very similar to the previously released Graphite palette so i gave it a miss.

In M&S i couldn't resist this cute Hello Kitty coin purse that came with a little lipgloss and a box of mini nail polishes that are 4 lovely velvety glitter colours.

Also in superdrug i got Sleeks new pout polish in Powder Pink and also noticed a new stand for Famous by Sue Moxley. A brand i've never used before i picked up a lovely eyeshadow trio called rainforest for £5.

A Maybelline eyeshadow. I'm not a fan of this brand but i'm a sucker for midnight blues, and this colour is beautiful.

In Boots 17 had a 3 for 2 offer so i picked up an eyeshadow trio, an eyeshadow in a new colour Emerald Gold and a glitter liner in a soft purple.
With a no.7 voucher i had i bought the new mascara they have out -Exceptional Definition. The main reason i got this was for the free palette that comes with it. The 4 colours look and feel like suede.

Last week i made an Avon order and got 2 nail polishes. The picture doesn't do them any justice at all but they are both very festive and glittery. I also got 2 lipsticks a cherry red and a rose gold. Below.

And finally i got Sensuous Noir from Estee Lauder.

Most used: July

Here are the things i've been using like mad lately:

  • Mac Studio Fix powder in NC20. This Summer weather is far to hot for foundation, but this controls my oily skin nicely.
  • No.7 Bronzer. This is matte, which i love.
  • Benefit Eyebright. Perfect for giving me a wide eyed healthy look.
  • M&S lip & cheek tint in coral. This was a complete bargain- i love it.
  • Clinique gel liner in bronze. lovely and creamy formula.
  • Mac light as air liner. To add a bit of colour to the waterline.

In the hot weather i tend to wear more on the lips. These are the go to products i've been using:

  • Benefit Benetint lip balm. Smells or roses :)
  • Dior lipglow. My fave Summer lip balm
  • Gosh jumbo lipgloss pencil in Flamenco Coral. Such a lovely colour.
  • Mac Viva Glam Cyndi lipstick. A wearable rosey red.
  • 17 Mirror shine lipstick in Beehive. A nice soft neutral colour.
  • 17 Mirror shine lipstick in Hollywood. I love this! A buildable pillarbox red.
  • Jemma Kidd lipcare lipstick in Apricot. Lovely soft colour and spf.
  • Rimmel Vinyl Bronze lipgloss in Sunset. I mainly love it because it smells of oranges!

And that's about it! (^_^)

New Things

Just some new things....

Well firstly, like everyone i took advantage of Glamour magazines offer which had 1 of 3 different Benefit eye pencils and bought all 3 issues. I'm not one for celebrity magazines, but when there is a freebie then i'm straight in there ;)

Which is why i also got More magazine that had a voucher inside that can be exchanged at Superdrug for a Barry M dazzle dust. I chose Kingfisher which is a lovely blue with a gold edge to it.

The Summer collection from No.7 has really caught my eye. I love the 70's esque packaging, it's a lot more sleek and slimline than previous LE packaging they've released. As it was 3 for 2 i picked up the Sun Drenched Bronzer which is matte, and i've been really looking forward to trying. From the collection i also got a Sun Drenched lipgloss pot in Golden Peach that has 22ct gold flakes in (which are actually really annoying!), and a blush tint in Rosebud- which is really nice as a lip stain.

At M&S i picked up an absolute bargain! This lip and cheek tint in coral that costs £3, and is a really lovely product-i've been using it constantly.

H&M had a sale going on so i picked up a cute Hello Kitty mirror and 3 lipglosses all for a £1 each. I also got a HK lip balm in coconut and lime, which i've later found smells really weird, and a very hand lint roller.

And lastly, i got this supercute Hello Kitty keyring (^_^)

A collective haul!

Over the past few weeks i've been spending as usual and here are some of the bits i've bought all combined into one post.

I bought a very cute bow necklance from River Island that has pastel coloured gems on. River Island is fast becoming one of my favourite places for accessories.

I went into M&S for a chocolate fix and was pleased to find they have a new selection of Hello Kitty chocolate including this very cute tin filled with choc hearts :)

I aslo picked up another of the Estee Lauder lipsticks from the Micheal Korrs Hollywood collection. This one is Hollywood gold. If i was rich i'd buy the whole collection- all of it's beautiful.

I made a small ASOS order- i picked up another of the Daintly Doll eyeshadows. This one is Honey Bronze. The shadows are really smooth, and the colour is a warmer version of Satin Taupe by Mac. I also got a cute Vegas charm necklace which was a bargain at £1.75 in the sale.

And at the weekend i popped into Superdrug. Gosh was on 3 for 2 and they had the new Summer collection in stock. I picked up this eyeshadow palette in Bohemian Gypsy, and a Tropical eye pencil in Violet Queen which has a lovely two tone effect. My favourite of the bunch is the Jumbo Lip Gloss Pencil. They had them in 3 shades, which were all very nice but i opted for Flamenco Coral. I have a feeling i'll be going back for the other 2 though...

Also in Superdrugs skincare is 3 for 2. I took the oportunity to stock up on some Simple products as i seem to be using a lot of their stuff lately. I decided to try the Oil Balancing Moisturiser for the daytime-i though this would be good for the warmer weather. As well as that i chose a Soothing Eye Balm, as i'm obsessed with finding things to help my dreaded dark circles. And lastly an Anti Wrinkle night cream- as i need a new night cream, and i fear wrinkles are aproaching (i can already see one on my forehead...eeek!)

I plan on doing some reviews on some of these things soon-particularly the Gosh bits, but if anyone has any requests they are always welcome.
